Labour Room

July 09, 20235 min read

If you have given birth before, you will know there are preparations to do and have in place before “D-Day”, or delivery day. That preparation can start at any time before or during your pregnancy; depending upon how long your pregnancy lasts. It could be nine months or in my case eight months. The preparation is getting you ready with what you need for the arrival of your little one for the big day and beyond. This will take place mentally, physically, and emotionally. The preparation that you may undertake will be to your home, your environment, yourself, and the lives of those close to you like your immediate family. It’s about taking what you need during that process so you can give it all for when that time and moment comes.

🚼

This is a reflection on us in our lives today when it comes to birthing what is on the inside of us and getting ready and prepared for it. Just like in the natural, it is the biological woman who gives birth to a baby. However, when we’re talking about giving birth to our visions and dreams spiritually, whether you are male or female, you can do this. That seed which is growing on the inside of you that will give birth to your dreams. Anyone can experience the labour room and spiritually prepare for the birth of their vision and dream which they have been carrying, and sometimes for so long as well; waiting and anticipating for the day of its arrival. You are making preparations while your seed is developing, nurturing, growing, and being protected until its time and the right time to showcase in the world. When this happens, you may find that your dream may be too big for you to push through by yourself and therefore will need the help and support of others to deliver it. Remember, your “seed” represents your dreams, visions, goals, and the purpose you carry. In the natural, a standard normal pregnancy lasts approximately nine months give or take. Spiritually, you may find that the seed you’re carrying may take longer than nine months, or could be shorter as well. You could be “pregnant” for years; however, you know hopefully what the end outcome will one day be. You’ll know that one day you will give birth and take hold physically of your vision and dream.

💭

You cannot put off the inevitable unless your dream becomes aborted. What do I mean by this? You simply just give up or quit, or something or someone else comes to steal what was already yours. Your dream can be aborted if you do not nurture it properly and effectively; protect, develop, love, and take care of it. Your dream could be aborted if you were to neglect it and allow it to perish inside of you.

This is the time to recognise and realise how important your dream is to you and how badly you want to achieve it so it thrives and flourishes. If you are someone who constantly gives birth to dreams that you’ve prepared and taken action upon, you’ll notice when the time arrives for your due date to deliver. You will feel the contractions begin; the travailing and the pushing. It will be painful at times. It will take everything out of you, especially your energy. It will cause you to either throw objects, scream and shout - (profanity and all), or go down on your knees, arms lifted high, and cry out in praise and worship. However, your baby, your seed, your dream, your vision, and the purpose that you’ve been carrying are ready and it’s now coming. It does take time for each dream to materialise and manifest like a baby naturally.  A lot of people do think it is an overnight success, but you will find that not to be the case. Your dream and delivery will take from you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. There will be distractions, people, and circumstances that will come against you to try and make you abort the promise(s) you’re carrying. You may even find yourself getting in your way sometimes and jeopardising your dream and seed as well.

💭

Spiritually, everyone can give birth to what is planted within them; to give birth to their vision and dream. There is plenty of room and places in this world for everyone to thrive at being who they are and what they have been called to do. Ladies and Gents, there is enough pie to go around for everyone; so, you don’t have to fight to keep it all to yourself!!

Take the time to revisit your visions, goals, and dreams. Go back over your notes and review the ones you wish or are being led to work on, develop, and bring to fruition. Don’t let your dream die within you without having the opportunity for it to be a blessing to this world. Prepare your dream. Give it your time and attention today if you have neglected it. Pick it back up again. Take what you need for yourself to help you accomplish and give birth to that dream. Look at ways on how you can best be resourceful if you need to. Grow, develop, protect, and nurture what is on the inside of you that you carry which is so precious and is needed. Help bring your dream to life and watch and see the impossible become possible. What has been unseen; seen. That will take a measure of faith. There are people in this world who are waiting for your gift, and to see what you’ve been carrying for so long to share in your good news; even waiting to partake of your miracle blessing. They want to welcome the new arrival and celebrate with you, but I must also add… Not everyone will be happy for you, and that’s okay too!

Whether your time of delivery is now, or you’re still preparing for it; The labour room is ready and waiting for you.
