Butterfly

Butterfly

The process of how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly is truly amazing. To watch that transformation occur, and that metamorphosis taking place. The beginning stage – the cocoon, opening into something wonderful, something more beautiful as a butterfly. It is interesting because we normally view a butterfly as being the one that is beautiful and not the cocoon. However, the cocoon can be beautiful as well too! Why?

🦋

Any transformation from whatever stage is important, strategic, and beautiful. The beauty is not just at the end of the revealing, but also in the process towards and of that revealing. The cocoon is what keeps the caterpillar safe, and within those boundaries, it is growing, developing, learning, and transforming. Within those boundaries, it is discovering more of who it is, who it will be in the world, and what it was made and created to do as a butterfly. It is in that cocoon moment it is taking its rest and gathering its power, which will be needed for what is to come; The birthing out, the transformation, and taking its rightful position in the world so it can fly and soar.

We all have cocoon moments in life. Moments where we feel we need to be sheltered and protected, whilst we explore, grow, develop, and take what we need before the day of revealing. This moment can happen time and time again, and not just once in life. The main focus of the process of a butterfly and how it mimics our lives is not so much the beginning or the end, but the in-between moments. The in-between in the cocoon of being stretched, shaped and reshaped, the pressing, refining, and moulding. It is about the transformation that is occurring and what it will produce in the end. That cocoon moment for you can be however long as necessary. There is no set season, date or time of expiry. When you are ready to be birthed and give birth, you will know when it is time. The process cannot be rushed, and it cannot be stopped. Unforeseeable forces and situations may try to slow down the process and although it may be delayed, it can never be stopped if it is destined to do so.

🦋

Now, can you stay and die within your cocoon without being newly birthed out, of course! Not every butterfly gets to have its moment of spreading its wings and taking the route of where it’s supposed to go. The cocoon can suffer very fatal and detrimental treatments that can cause it to be aborted before its time. This can be a representation of the butterfly itself or what the butterfly is carrying (dreams, visions, goals) which can be terminated. However, when it is your moment to come out of your shell of the cocoon, the birthing will take place. It is something that will happen eventually whether you accept it or not. When that day and moment arrives for you… you would have been transformed into something more beautiful, precious, and more powerful, that will simply take your breath and the breath of others away. Your cocoon moment has prepared you for such a time as this to be presented to the world at the right time and for the right time; even when we don’t know when that moment is. The cocoon has prepared the way for your light to come and shine bright. Your cocoon was getting you ready and prepared to be announced to the world that you have arrived.

When the time comes for the birthing and the spreading of your wings to fly, you will soar as you have never done before. Your cocoon moment has prepared you for that. You will take flight and embrace all that you were created to be and to do, whilst being YOU. All the colours, patterns, quirks and qualities that make you unique as an individual will amaze people with your beauty. They will be attracted to your wings and your light. They will be drawn to your presence because you were given such beauty for the ashes of your cocoon season. There is so much in this world for you to do and people to help. Be present with your presence, gifts and abilities, and serve.

The world is waiting for you!

Are you ready to fly?🦋
