Aerial View

If you have been on an aeroplane before, the view from up high is wonderful; If you can see of course and are not afraid of heights!! You’ll notice how the land looks just like a jigsaw puzzle, how people look like ants, and how cars are like small creatures; depending of course on how high up you are. If you are flying above the clouds, then that is all you’ll see… Clouds. It is funny how things look from above than when we’re on the ground. The view is very much different. You see things from a different perspective and angle.

Life can be like that at times. We view our situations and circumstances with only the view that we have. Most times that view is from the ground level, and/or can be tainted, or obscured with other things. We can only see what is in front of us, to the left and the right - our peripheral view. We can only see how far our sight can take us, and sometimes our understanding as well. So, when we make our choices and decisions in life upon what is presented to us, we do so from that perspective and the only viewpoint that we have.

What if we took another approach? What if there is another way of seeing?

✈️

Sometimes our problems, situations, and circumstances can appear differently when we’re presented with another view to see them – another perspective. One that appears to be from above and can see more of what’s happening than what is on ground zero. I think the choices and decisions we make will look quite different don’t you think? Why is this? Because we have a greater view, understanding, and exploration of them. A much wider periscopic perspective and advantage point. Therefore, we can make our decisions when we have more of the facts, insight, data, and details presented. An aerial view can give a person a much larger vision and a broader perspective; just like being in an aeroplane. When we’re up high, we can see much more of the land than when we are on the ground. We can take on more than what the eyes can see, and change our thinking and behaviour accordingly which will impact our actions taken.

When you find yourself next faced with a dilemma, a problem, or a situation you may be struggling to find the solution to, take some time first to consider if there is another view you must see. A much broader perspective. Don’t feel you have to rush in to decide upon a situation hastily but do your research if necessary. Take some time out to think, explore, and sometimes wait patiently or even prayerfully. You don’t have to have all your ducks in a row, but go back and take another glance to see if you can view your situation with a larger vision before making your choices, which could potentially be permanent or harmful. Having another perspective is always great, and it shows you’re not just limited to the only one viewpoint that is always presented to you, which most times can be on the ground.

✈️

Having a bigger and greater lookout point is such an advantage. It gives you the time to think first and not act first. Find moments in your life when presented with a dilemma or anything you’re looking for an answer to, and go up! Look out! See what you can see, and then act. You may be amazed at the results!!
